Business Planning for an Entertainment Industry Company
In 2017, ASG Strategies was engaged by the founder and owner of a start-up Entertainment Company to create a business plan. Mid 2017, the owner, who also owned a number of other companies, was approached to fund a start-up providing entertainment services. Before providing funding, the owner required a Business Plan to be created to determine the viability of the business, how it would be delivered and what funding would be required. Thus, the project was to create a Business Plan that would serve as a Blueprint to create and build the business over the coming 2 years.
Cashflow Improvements for a Small Professional Services Business
In 2017, ASG Strategies was engaged by the owner of a Small Professional Services Provider to help overcome a major cash flow issue. In early 2017, the Small Service Provider was having difficulties with invoicing activities that resulted in minimal cash flow into the business. There were a number of reasons including time management, systems, sub-contractor responsibilities, internal staff tasks and delegation. Thus, the project was to help the owner to address the problems and return the company to normal cash flow.
Turning Around a Loss-Making Subsidiary
Early 2014, I was employed by Cornelius Inc. to manage the Australian business unit, Cornelius Australia Pty Ltd. In 2013, Cornelius Australia performed poorly with sales around 50% of the set budget, made a loss and was losing market share. There were a number of reasons for the result including macro issues such as poor market conditions and internal problems around the product and service. Thus, my role was to address the problems and return Cornelius Australia to profit within one year.
Creating a Multi-Million Dollar Machinery Import Business
Late 2008, I was employed by Wirtgen Australia to create and develop a business unit around the Kleemann Crusher and Screen range of products. In 2006, the Wirtgen Group, a family owned and managed German organisation operating in the Construction and Mining sectors, had purchased the Kleemann company and had then commenced integrating into the Wirtgen Group. Part of the integration process was to launch the Kleemann machinery range into the Wirtgen Group subsidiaries around the world. Wirtgen Australia was to commence supplying Kleemann machinery in 2009.
Systemising a Metal Manufacturer
In 2017, ASG Strategies was engaged by the owner of a Metal Manufacturer to help develop and improve the business systems. Mid 2017, the Owner of a Metal Manufacturer, who is in his 60’s, was spending up to 60 hours per week working in or on the business. He would like to reduce the number of hours that he spends in the business to allow focus on other external activities. The key issues identified was the business management was performed by the owner based on personal experience and witnessed activities. For the owner to reduce his time in the business, a reliable system that generates relevant information or KPI’s was required. Thus, the project was to help the owner to systemise the business so as relevant KPI’s can be generated and monitored on-site or remote.
